THE WEATHER WE LEFT BEHIND

Saturday, December 13, 2008

Pretty cold this morning for Florida - 45 degrees. However, this should be the end of the cold spell.
Clouds and rain have left the area and the sky was blue until about 5:00 pm when it clouded over. But the sun is almost down by then so not a problem.

The vehicles got washed today for the first time and we are looking good!

Drove the dogs to a county park for a walk and ran some errands.

We leave this RV park and head for Ft. DeSoto county park tomorrow for a 5 night stay. We drove there yesterday to "check it out" and we are on water with a sunset view. A little tight for space, but anything is better than these private RV parks that almost always fail to impress us. Driving back from DeSoto gave us a taste of Tampa Bay traffic. What a mess! Add a few wrong turns I made in rush hour and you really understand what "I need a drink" means.

As I said earlier, this part of the trip is not much to write about. It's just kind of life as usual for us only on the road and in a warmer climate. When we meet up with Brother T and Sista D next week along with Dan, Melissa, Amanda, Tony, and Wyatt James there should be more to report. Then when Sista Beth and Brother Bob show up around the 27 th to join forces with Tim and Dea and the two of us things will really get interesting. When Bob gets on the $3.00 wine no telling what will happen. Should be fun. It's actually the only reason we came to Florida anyway.

Oh, and there is more. Bruce and Kathy (Boling) Greenberg have a home in Ft. Myers and will be down here for the holidays as well. This will definately be interesting!
