THE WEATHER WE LEFT BEHIND

Good morning!

The repair part I was waiting for in Las Cruces arrived around noon yesterday. I had just gotten back from having the RV serviced so we took off for Arizona. The part was a valve stem and I was going to have the local Ford dealer replace it, but it came in too late. I'll have it done in Tucson. Drove 250 miles to Karchner Caverns State Park just south of Benson, AZ to spend the night. We are only about 1 hr away from our Tucson destination of Catalina State Park but given our late start we didn't want to go through Tucson in rush hour only to arrive at the park in the dark.

But this is a beautiful park and this is our fourth time here. Last year we went on the cave tour and it was worth the time to do so. Very popular spot.
Weather here is about 10 degrees warmer than Las Cruces and still nothing but blue sky. It was 54 this morning going to 71. Should be about the same in Tucson for the next week according to the weather report.

Our thoughts are really focusing on Mexico now. We are very close to crossing.
I contacted our RV park in Mazatlan and they have space available if we want to arrive prior to the 2/1/09 reservation. We will no doubt go early.
Since we are only one hour from Catalina we will not leave here until the 2:00pm check out time. Going to take the dogs for a hike along the foothills.

Got to go. Hope everyone is getting through the Indiana weather in good health, I know the attitude can't be good about it, however. So far we are doing well as are the girls this time around. "Knock on Wood"!

Big "pull through" sites. Did not have to unhook the CRV
